Urban Nature-Based Solutions and Sustainable Drainage Systems

This event aims to foster an international and interdisciplinary dialogue on Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS) and Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) for urban water management and climate resilience.

The meeting will bring together an international keynote speaker from the Techincal University of Munich, Colombian national and local institutions, and academia to exchange experiences on planning, governance, and implementation of SUDS and NbS in cities.

The event will be co-organized with the Red SUDS Bogotá (led by the Instituto Distrital de Gestión de Riesgos y Cambio Climático) and the national Nature-Based Solutions network led by the Departamento Nacional de Planeación.

The main objective is to identify lessons learned, key barriers, and opportunities to scale SUDS and NbS in urban contexts, particularly in Latin American cities.
